I read because I want to understand a wider view of the world. Reading a book is like having a dinner conversation with someone when you can't actually sit down and have dinner with them. But today when I was helping out in my sons' classroom, I overheard a sad story.<BR/><BR/>The class is earning lanyards for reading minutes, so the kids were wearing theirs proudly. One little boy who didn't earn one said, "I don't need a lanyard.
